Exercise Name:  Step Up with Power

How do I set up the Tuffit? Platform

How hard is it?  
This exercise is easy to set up and once you have mastered the foot pattern it is relatively easy to execute.  Adding power together with a little co-ordination as you switch between legs will make the exercise more challenging and fun.

Which muscle group does it work? 
This exercise primarily works the muscles in the lower body, thighs, hamstrings, glutes, calves.  The core muscles which help to stabilise the upper body also get a workout.

What’s good about it? 
It’s great for strengthening and toning those leg and glute muscles.  The postural muscles are also activated when performing the exercise with good alignment.  It is a superb fat burning / cardio exercise, with lots of muscles working together requiring more energy to execute. There are lots of variations with this exercise and adding power and arm movements will add more intensity.

Top Tip 
Start with the lower platform first and once you feel confident try on the main Tuffit platform. This exercise can be tricky and you can easily trip especially when the muscles in the legs are fatigued.  Add power to the movement once you feel confident – it’s a really good cardio exercise.
