Pretty Muddy And Loving It
What an amazing event the Pretty Muddy Race for Life is!
Our Fit for Keeps team of 9 took part in Pretty Muddy at Ripley Castle on Saturday 9th July and we had the best day ever. It was so much fun. We laughed non stop and the obstacles were great (nothing too scary). My favourite was definitely the space hopper and, of course, the big pink slide at the end!
It took 2 showers and a bath for me to get cleaned up afterwards but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
Pretty Muddy is really about having fun – so if you usually find the idea of an organised fitness event a little bit intimidating, don’t be put off. There were people of all fitness levels getting involved and you have the freedom to go at your own pace (no-one was timing anything). There was a real sense of camaraderie and a great atmosphere.
And the most important thing: we have raised over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK so far, with more money still to come in.
Just take a look at the Cancer Research website to find out what this money can do.
A huge thank you to the most brilliant team mates we could have asked for. In addition to Jenny and myself, our team consisted of Laura, Sara, Gemma, Holly, Lucy, Vicci and Claire.
An even bigger thank you to everyone who donated and helped us raise such a great amount for such an important charity. If you would still like to donate, it’s not too late – visit justgiving.com/fitforkeeps.
I’m looking forward to next year already – who’s with me?!
P.S. We owe a little apology to the lovely Will Smith from Stray FM who invited us on stage after our run…he wasn’t expecting that muddy hug!
