The Fit for Keeps philosophy is simple: exercise makes you feel great, if you feel great you look fantastic, which means you’re only ever one workout away from amazing.
Home fitness equipment is often bought with the best of intentions before being relegated to the loft, garage or spare room after just a handful of uses. The attractiveness of the equipment is just one of the barriers to working out at home, so with this in mind, Fit for Keeps was established to create equipment that is beautiful and exciting to use.
We believe in being honest about fitness and exercise. There are no quick fixes, fitness has to be a lifestyle change rather than a quick burst of activity. We don’t believe that one size fits all when it comes to exercise – that’s why the Tuffit workouts can be adapted to your specific needs and also evolve as your fitness evolves. It really is a lifetime of fitness in one neat little package.
We teach through clear demonstration showing how to get the best from the equipment – and that includes providing detailed information about warming up and cooling down properly.
If you have a question that isn’t answered on our website, please email us at email@example.com

We have worked hard to manufacture as much as possible in the UK. The wood for our Tuffits is cut and assembled in the UK. At this time, we have been unable to find a UK based manufacturer for our accessories (but not through lack of trying!). Our accessories are currently manufactured in China.
Jenny is joint founder of Fit for Keeps with Sarah Lambley. She lives in Leeds, West Yorkshire with her husband and two daughters.
With 20 years experience in the fitness industry working as a personal trainer to both figure competitors and the general public (not to mention her 13 fitness titles including UIBBN World Figure Champion) Jenny has a wealth of experience in helping women to achieve their own fitness goals.
Jenny’s experience has given her a unique insight into what women want from fitness, what motivates them and what barriers are in their way.
Sarah is joint founder of Fit for Keeps with Jenny Garside. She lives in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire with her husband and two sons. Previously Marketing Director for female superbrand ghd, Sarah developed products and advertising which championed every woman’s right to a good hair day.
As a reluctant exerciser, she understands only too well how hard it can be to find motivation and energy to workout. Feeling that no-one was providing the right kind of home fitness solution for women, and seeing an opportunity to encourage ‘lifestyle’ fitness instead of fitness fads, Sarah joined forces with Jenny to set up Fit for Keeps to research, design and develop solutions for today’s market.

We charge £15 for all orders which include a Tuffit. This ensures that your Tuffit can be delivered the next working day after despatch. We don’t currently offer a longer delivery service. This charge applies for delivery to most postal areas that we deliver to in the UK, including England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Please note there are some remote postcodes where a specific delivery charge is calculated at checkout.
Delivery to addresses on islands or in remote areas of the UK mainland will be calculated at the checkout and may take a little longer than our usual delivery times, with delays possible if you live in the following postcode areas: AB1-AB40, BT, HS, IM, IV, KW, PA, PO30 – PO41, TR21 – TR25.

If an item is out of stock but expected back in stock soon this will be indicated on the website and an approximate shipping date provided before you place your order.
For Tuffits, standard delivery is by courier, with delivery between 9am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Smaller items are dispatched via Royal Mail.
No, unfortunately at the moment we only ship to addresses within the UK.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will investigate.
Someone needs to be in when your parcel is due to be delivered as we may need a signature. Don’t worry if you aren’t at home as our carrier usually tries to deliver more than once.
Alternatively they will leave a card confirming when they will try to redeliver or give you details on how to collect it.
Unfortunately, we have to make a small charge for delivery in order to ensure that the Tuffit reaches you in perfect condition. The Tuffit is a luxurious item of furniture besides being a fantastic mini gym and therefore we have chosen to ship it via a trusted courier. Fit for Keeps covers as much of the courier costs as possible and only charges the remaining balance of £15.

2-3 times per week is a good guide. Beginners should leave at least one to three days between workouts, training on non-consecutive days. With increasing fitness and strength, sessions can be increased to four or more times per week.
It is difficult to predict how long it will take to recover because everyone is different. Full recovery hasn’t yet happened if there is muscle soreness, weakness or loss in strength so please remember that training before the full recovery process has occurred can be counterproductive and may cause injury.
Intense exercise can cause Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) usually between 24-72hrs after training. The muscles feel sore, stiff and there is a loss of strength. When the body is taken to overload there is likely to be muscle soreness and stiffness. This is normal and will ease off in the recovery period. Remember, stretching can help to relieve and prevent muscle soreness.
Most definitely not! Working out with the Tuffit offers a variety of training methods (strength & cardio). The Tuffit workouts are designed for general health and fitness.
When it comes to being more active, the list of benefits is a very long one! Here are some of the main reasons to work out:
Always check with your doctor before beginning any exercise programme. If you experience sharp pain, shortness of breath, dizziness or lightheadedness with any exercise, stop immediately and seek medical help.
As with any fitness programme, it can take between 1 and 3 months to clearly see physical changes in the body.
The programmes have been designed to work as step by step guides rather than a ‘DVD’ that you simply workout alongside. There are several reasons for this:
Before working out, make sure you warm up thoroughly to protect against injury and prepare yourself for your workout. Warm up tips can be found in the Find Your Fit Exercise Guide included with your Tuffit. There are many more tips on the website and app. Whilst working out, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
Always check your equipment before every workout for signs of damage or wear and tear. Do not use the Tuffit or its accessories if they are damaged in any way.
Yes they do. Every programme generated on our website and app will automatically include these exercises at the start and end of your workout.
Many online based programmes from other companies make unrealistic claims about how much can be achieved in 5 or 10 minutes – but this is at the expense of providing you with the important warm up and cool down information.
Yes, every Tuffit comes with a Find Your Fit Exercise Guide. You can download a copy here.
Yes! The beauty of this exciting little bit of kit is that it combines cardio and strength work for an all over body workout. Search our database of exercise programmes to find your perfect fit.

Created by an experienced female personal trainer and multi-titled figure champion, the Tuffit and the included personal training workout programmes have been designed with you in mind, whatever your challenges or ability. From toning your legs, bum and tum to creating those perfectly sculpted arms, the Tuffit provides endless training options for every part of your body.
The Tuffit provides:
The Tuffit comes with a printed ‘Find Your Fit’ Guide which lists all the key exercises and a few programmes to get you started.
We have a large database of programmes available online for you to choose from.
We don’t offer a ‘DVD’ workout to follow because we don’t believe this is the best, most efficient or interesting way to exercise. The Tuffit is not a ‘one size fits all’ solution, it is designed so that you can tailor the programmes to suit your specific needs. You can read more about this approach in the ‘Tuffit Exercise Programmes’ section of questions below.
The Tuffit name is based on the word ‘Tuffet’ used in the Little Miss Muffet nursery rhyme because it perfectly describes the idea of a small piece of furniture for sitting on. We simply changed the ‘e’ to an ‘i’ so that the end of the word spells ‘fit’ – it seemed appropriate for a fitness brand, especially because the product has two uses!
We started the design process in January 2014. It took just under two years to bring the finished product to market.
The Tuffit is made of quality birch plywood that has been laminated to achieve a durable coating and a choice of different coloured finishes.
Plywood is PEFC and FSC® certified.
The Tuffit has been tested to comply with the following safety standards:
EN ISO 20957-1**
EN 16139 Level 2
**Class of usage:
a) Class S (studio): professional and/ or commercial use.
b) Class H (home): domestic use;
A printed safety guide is included with every Tuffit.
You can also download a copy of our latest safety guide here.
The Tuffit and accessories are not toys and have not been designed for use by persons under 14 years of age. Infirm and disabled persons should not use the equipment without the assistance of a qualified person.
WARNING: Use of any Fit for Keeps equipment can cause serious injury when not used properly. Injuries to health may also result from excessive training. Training to fatigue can affect balance and co-ordination. This should be taken into account when exercising, especially when jumping onto the platforms.
Your Tuffit has been designed to be extremely durable. If you look after your Tuffit you should expect it to last for many years.
Like any piece of fitness equipment however, you may notice some wear and tear over a period of time, particularly with heavy use.
You should always check your Tuffit for damage before every workout. Regular jumping and platform work can occasionally result in the drawer pins working a little loose – these can be easily tightened with a screwdriver.
If you have any questions regarding maintenance and safety, please don’t hesitate to get in touch firstname.lastname@example.org or 01423 866833
If you’re new to exercise, start with 2 -3 sessions a week – make sure you check out the difficulty levels indicated for each programme to match the right workout to your ability.
Yes! You can buy different CoreCurves with different fabrics so that wherever you put your Tuffit when it’s in furniture mode, it will look just like part of the furniture and compliment your interior design.
If your aim is to lose weight then the Tuffit is an effective way to help with any weight loss programme. However, as with any exercise, it will only help you to lose weight if you are committed to a regular programme of activity and you are eating a healthy diet.
You should check your Tuffit for any defects before every use. In the event of a defect being identified the Tuffit and associated equipment should be kept out of use until repaired or replaced. Any usage of a Tuffit showing signs of a defect may result in injury and will invalidate the manufacturer’s guarantee. If you notice any defects, please contact us for advice before using your Tuffit again.
Your Tuffit should be stored out of direct sunlight.
The Tuffit frame and drawer can be wiped clean with a damp soft cloth and then buffed with a soft dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cloths or cleaning products on the wood or laminate surfaces. We recommend that you regularly oil the edges of your Tuffit to keep the exposed wooden ribs in good condition Please ensure to immediately remove any excess oil from the laminate or gloss surfaces to avoid damage to these areas.
Because it combines the best of both worlds – cardio & strength training without having multiple pieces of equipment such as a treadmill, weights, cross trainer, rower etc. It saves you time because there’s no travelling to the gym and back and in the long run it also saves you money – the cost of a Tuffit is the equivalent of just a few months’ gym membership.
The CoreCurve is designed to make conventional sit ups more challenging by maximising engagement of your abdominal muscles. In addition, the CoreCurve is ergonomically shaped with different contours on each side to help you achieve comfort and support for your lower back or abdomen during workouts.
You should position the CoreCurve for maximum comfort during exercising, ensuring the base of your spine and bottom maintain contact with the floor when lying on your back and keeping your hip bones in contact with the floor if facing down.
There are two different ‘slopes’ on the CoreCurve. You should experiment to find the most comfortable position but we would usually recommend that the more gradual ‘slope’ is closest to your bottom.
WARNING: If you suffer from any back or abdominal discomfort during exercise or while using the CoreCurve, you should stop exercising immediately and seek medical help. The CoreCurve is designed for additional comfort and support – it is not designed for treating medical conditions or relieving pain.
We currently have 14 different fabrics to choose from on the Fit for Keeps website.
If you have a specific fabric requirement and need further advice, contact us at email@example.com and we’ll try to help.
Regular vacuuming will help remove dust and maintain the fabric appearance. You can wipe clean gently with a damp cloth using warm water for most stains. Never use polish, solvent, stain remover or abrasive cloths. Remove spillages promptly. Do not machine wash, dry clean or tumble dry.
Resistance tubing is equipment used for physical exercise known as strength training.
When properly performed, strength training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in overall health and well-being.
Read more about strength training here.
The Tuffit and accessories – including the resistance tubing – is not designed for use by anyone under 14 years of age. Infirm and disabled persons should not use the equipment without the assistance of a qualified person.
WARNING: STRANGULATION HAZARD: Keep resistance tubing away from ALL children.

185cm. The tubing should never be stretched beyond this limit.
The resistance tubing contains natural rubber latex. Latex allergies occur in a small percentage of the population. If you know you have a latex allergy, you should refrain from using Fit for Keeps resistance tubing. Anyone using the tubing who experiences an allergic reaction (such as redness or swelling on the skin near the band) should stop using the product immediately and seek medical help.
No, unfortunately at this time we don’t offer this product variation.
Resistance tubing does not last forever. With heavy use, you should expect to replace your bands at least twice per year. Replacements can be purchased at fitforkeeps.com
Before exercising with resistance tubing for the first time, you should choose a strength to work with. As a guide, you may want to consider moving up to the next colour level if the muscle you are working on is no longer feeling fatigued by the end of the repetitions / time goal you have set.
Yes, we sell replacements at fitforkeeps.com.
With normal everyday use, the tubing should last for many months. However, it may break if stretched beyond 185cm, or if it has a small tear or abrasion. Damage to tubing can occur at the connection point. Therefore, always inspect the tubing (particularly near the connection) before use. Be aware that jewellery, fingernails, and other sharp objects may damage the tubing. Always protect your eyes and face when tubing is in use.
We do not recommend exercises that involve stretching the resistance tubing in a way that could ‘snap’ towards the head as this could cause injury to the head or eyes. If in doubt, you should protect your eyes with goggles or other protective eyewear.
We recommend that Fit for Keeps products are used only for the exercises listed on our website and printed guide. Any use outside of this may damage the products, invalidate warranty and cause injury to the user.
Fit for Keeps tubing is designed to be exactly the right length for use with the Tuffit.
The resistance values and color progression for Fit for Keeps tubing are specific to our brand, and therefore we cannot confirm if other brands work in the same way.
We’re working on it! Coming soon…watch this space.
Use mild hand soap and water to wash your accessories carefully. Always allow them to dry naturally. Use talc or baby powder on resistance tubing if it sticks together after cleaning.
The tubing must be stored out of direct sunlight. We recommend that you store it in your Tuffit drawer when not in use.
The ‘D’ Ring Connector is a bespoke accessory designed for use with the Tuffit. You should use the ‘D’ Ring Connector to attach the resistance tubing to the Tuffit rails.
The Fit for Keeps resistance tubing is designed for use with the Tuffit. You should not use it with any other products. Incorrect use of resistance tubing could cause serious injury.
No – the tubing is not intended to be used for oral exercises. Do not chew the resistance tubing.
